I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT MY LEACTURER IS TEACHING ME
I CAN'T READ AND UNDERSTAND.

My Learning Skills

Don't understand lecturers teaching
Ok, let’s tackle the first one. You don’t understand what
you are being taught? That can be due to some certain
reasons.

It’s important to note that, no matter how difficult a topic
may seem, there’s something you grabbed from it. Just
that you haven’t given yourself enough conscious time to
grab it. So, you should keep that in mind.
Here are reasons why you are not understanding what your
Lecturers are teaching in class

1. You are not paying very
good attention.
You may think you are but you are not really paying
attention in class. My advice > aim to come to class early
enough to get a position at the front row. And not just get
a seat there, also focus on paying maximum attention on
your Lecturers as they teach. Remember, you’re only new
to this so it will need practice. The idea is to start picking
up some points in class at the first instance and then build
on that, learn and adapt. What works for you and what
doesn’t.

2. You are not preparing for the
class well.
This is equally common. You should pre-read a topic before
the Lecturer introduces it in class. Even if you didn’t
understand when you were reading, you’ll be able to follow
up the Lecturer and not get easily waved away. Simply put,
you already have an idea of what the Lecturer is saying and
it’ll be easier to understand.
So, get your course outline and start doing some work.

3. You are not asking questions and getting
help.
If you don’t get help when you need it, you’ll be lost while
the Lecturer moves on. So, overcome the drag and ask your
lecturers questions in class. They’ll explain better and you’ll
also understand it.

As for the second one… You can’t read and understand.
It’s not true. You just have to keep on reading. Devote
mindful time to studies and condition your brain to realize
you need to understand a topic.
 Hope this
helps
