We daily watch the clocks to know the current time. There are many types in clocks like Digital and Analog. In Digital the time is visible in totally decimal format. This is totally possible with the electronic circuit hidden back of the LED screen.

These types of clocks were available from past decade. But before these clocks came into existence the analog type ruled the clock world. This Analog system is consists of gears and gear trains behind the arrows which are usually used to indicate the coordinate time using pointing numbers i arranged in clockwise. Now-a-days even though this digital era came the most of the youth are passionate to the analog system of wrist watches.

There are many best companies which prepare the wrist watches and clocks they are Rolex, Titan, Quartz, Sonata etc.., If you observe carefully the functioning of the analog wrist watch or an analog clock, you may observe that the arrows which indicates the time will move from left to right. Generally we call this movement of direction as the Clockwise direction. Have you got doubt that why the clocks use to rotate in the clockwise direction? Usually this question arises to the small children.

Why it rotates in Clockwise direction:

First clock was invented by the countries of the North Hemisphere. They producers were decided to arrange the on numbers from left to right in an ascending order. So they decide to make rotate the arrows from left to right. This we usually called as clockwise direction. The reason for deciding to rotate the arrows in the clockwise direction is due to the sundials.

These sundials were invented before the invention of the clock. This mode of direction is attained due to the rotation of the shadow and light of the sundials. They designed this by the principle that the shadow is formed quite opposite to the sun. This clock works only when we give the sufficient power by rotating part present at the back of the clock.

The terms clock wise and anti-clockwise was derived from the direction of the clocks. If this clock not invented by the North Hemisphere countries, the clock might be rotated from right to left. This direction we call as anti clockwise direction.
